Based on the bachelor thesis on the individual bicycle saddle, we carried out a practical test in cooperation with the department of Additive Manufacturing of the SKZ.
In the professional exchange with the SKZ, the idea had matured to subject the topologically optimised bicycle saddle to an application test and to present it at the SKZ Network Day.
In advance we had to choose a suitable bicycle and provide the bicycle seat with a seat post. This and the addition of the logos required slight modifications to the CAD model of the saddle. The SKZ took over the production of the saddle on a selective laser sintering system and had it coloured black to match the bicycle. Afterwards, the SKZ cut the carbon tube and attached it as a seat post to the bicycle seat. The bicycle was loaned to us by the company FXSports from Höchberg.
As you can see in the video below, the saddle has passed its first practical test very well.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved once again!
